“When someone takes a needless risk with the safety of those around them, my job is to hold them accountable for the harms and losses resulting from their bad decisions.” – Alfred Russel Bell, Jr.
Alfred Bell has a unique perspective that most personal injury attorneys wish they had, an ace up his sleeve. His path as a lawyer has taken him to courtrooms all over Florida while representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases. He has spent twice as much time representing plaintiffs. He has a completely unique and unlikely level of insight that sets him apart.
What makes Alfred different than most other attorneys? He has many years’ experience working for insurance companies as their legal representation. He knows their tactics; he understands how insurance companies operate. It’s this insight and his patience and determination that make him a lawyer that should not be crossed lightly.
Insurance companies like lawyers who fear trial, do as little as possible and beg them for money. With Alfred, you can rest assured you don’t have a lawyer like that. To say he’s the attorney you want on your side is an understatement. He’s the attorney we all want on our side when facing an insurance company.
As a youth, Mr. Bell was inspired by the original renaissance man himself: Thomas Jefferson. It was through his example, that Alfred decided to become a lawyer so he too could leave a lasting impact on the legal system. Alfred is still thankful that wigs are no longer necessary in court.
Alfred Bell is a partner at Steinger, Greene & Feiner, specializing in personal injury, brain injury, wrongful death, and insurance coverage cases.
Mr. Bell graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science Degree in business administration. Afterwards, he studied law at Rutgers University School of Law at Camden. While there, he worked for the Honorable Stanley S. Brotman, United States Senior District Judge, and the Honorable John J. Hughes, United States Magistrate Judge.
As mentioned, Alfred has worked for major insurance companies and corporations, where he gained significant insight into their practices. This insight has gained him the respect of personal injury attorneys. Mr. Bell has lectured on how to successfully litigate and try cases against big business, ensuring justice is served and the rights of the injured are protected.
His mission to fight for what’s right has not ended there. Alfred has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients over his impressive legal career. His insights into the insurance business allowed him to collect $4.7 million in a single-car accident case for his client. In another case, he successfully recovered 37 times the liability insurance policy limits because the insurance company had failed to protect his client. Mr. Bell brought them to justice.
Fishing for marlin has been his longstanding avocation; a way for him to unwind and focus on something for the sake of the thing itself. And his hobby has taken him to new parts of the world and greater adventures including swimming with sharks (not too different from those in the courtroom), hiking a glacier, busting clay pigeons, and spending time with bears and wolves. Alfred has dug up dinosaur bones, wrote 200 pages of a novel, lost 35 pounds, and been awarded a few solo Victory Royales in FortNight. Jib Bell is the renaissance man we need, but do not deserve, in the 2020s.
