As summer came to a close, Steinger, Greene & Feiner was proud to announce its partnership with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office through the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Foundation for their Back-to-School Supply Drive to donate school supplies to students in Belle Glade, FL. The event took place on Wednesday, July 26th at Lake Shore Middle School located at 425 W Canal St N. in Belle Glade, FL.
The mission of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Foundation is to positively impact the community served by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office by helping underprivileged children, enhancing public safety, and assisting deputies in need. Steinger, Greene & Feiner was excited to host a back-to-school supply drive in its Palm Beach County locations through the month of July to help boys and girls in the Sheriff’s Foundation’s Belle Glade summer camp return to the classroom fully equipped for success.
Steinger, Greene & Feiner not only hosted the drive, but also donated backpacks for all the children already pre-filled with basic school supplies like rulers, pencils, crayons, and pencil cases. On the last week of summer camp, Steinger, Greene & Feiner employees volunteered on-site in Belle Glade, delivering the backpacks and helping the children “shop” for supplies. On that same day, Steinger, Greene & Feiner hosted a pizza party for the children and their families.
“As members of this community, it is not just our duty but our privilege to engage with and support our fellow neighbors. Businesses and employees alike have a responsibility to give back to the community that supports us. By working together, we can create a better future for us all.” Said Kelly Diaz, Director of Community Engagement for Steinger, Greene & Feiner.
The back-to-school supply drive was a huge success, and SGF employees in Palm Beach County participated by donating supplies and volunteering on-site on the day of the event. Together, they made a difference in the lives of these underprivileged children and helped them start the school year off right.
The school supplies collected by SGF included erasers, highlighters, scientific calculators, colored pencils, scissors, markers, plastic pocket folders, glue, dry erase markers, spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, and construction paper.
