The fishing tournament benefits the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, Inc. The primary function of this organization is the award of scholarships to children who are dependants or descendants of workers who were injured or killed in the course and scope of their employment and who are eligible to receive benefits under the Florida Workers’ Compensation system and also children of parents involved in the administration of workers compensation benefits for injured workers.
